Little iron with big advantages

I purchased the iron during a sale. I've had 5 surgeries on my right hand and 1 on my right shoulder so it is weaker than normal. I thought it would be good for quilt block ironing because my regular iron gets too heavy very fast. Wow, this little iron really surprised me with it's power. It heats up really fast and it is so light that it is no longer a chore to press multiple quilt blocks. It has a light and steam. This is definitely my go to iron for quilting now. Hard to hold

I wanted this mini iron. So, when it went on sale, I hurried to place an order. I thought it would be a Mini Version of full size without the lifting feature. MY ERROR! I cannot use it very well. It isn't easy to hold. There is no place for my fingers to grasp it. This iron is not for you if you have trouble holding on to things with your thumb and forefinger. You have to curl your fingers over the top and hold it with your thumb and forefinger to maneuver it. There are very few steam vents....

Wanted to love this iron...

I really wanted to love this iron- I had heard so many good things about this iron and got a really good sale on it- but then I found out the power cord comes out of the right side- not convenient for a left-hander! It would have been so much better if they had kept the original design with it coming out of the back of the iron.

The iron works well however I have yet to try it with water. I do wish the cord connection at the iron was at the back or other side of the iron as it gets in my way when ironing. I am left handed and my electrical outlet is on my left side.
